West Ham want Derby’s Barnes
West Ham United are thought to be ready to make an offer for Derby County’s Giles Barnes.
The highly-rated midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs including Tottenham Hotspur since breaking into the Rams first team and helped the club back into the Premiership last season.
Hammers boss Alan Curbishley is looking to bring in another midfielder following the departure of Yossi Benayoun to Liverpool and Julien Faubert’s injury, which is likely to keep him out for around six months.
The 18-year-old is considered to be one of the brightest talents in English football.

Derby would be stupid to get rid of him for less than 7 million
