West Ham to accept FIFA’s Tevez decision

West Ham - Alan CurbishleyWest Ham United have promised to accept FIFA’s decision on the Carlos Tevez saga.

The Argentine striker was on the verge of a move to Premiership champions Manchester United and FIFA’s dispute resolution chamber or players’ status committee will be called to make a decision on whether Tevez has a right to be released from his contract at Upton Park.

A decision is not expected until August.

West Ham said in a statement: “We believe that it is in the interest of all parties to resolve this issue as quickly as possible through the procedures laid down by FIFA.

“Public threats and accusations are irrelevant, let FIFA decide and West Ham will accept that judgement whatever the outcome. The time has come to settle this matter in a way which will allow everyone concerned to move on.

“The club has in recent weeks made every effort to keep Carlos Tevez at West Ham and indeed offered significantly improved terms and conditions to the player, which were not accepted.

“However a transfer of a properly registered player cannot occur without agreement between two clubs and the Premier League.”

West Ham should let him join United, he’s too good for them.

You can’t be too good for a team! If West Ham want to progress they need to keep the high quality players
